Simon Adcock



Partner, Head of Portfolio

Simon is a partner and head of portfolio management at Bowmark Capital

Prior to Bowmark, Simon was senior portfolio director at LDC. Before that, he spent nearly 20 years as an advisor, initially at KPMG before moving to Deloitte. At Deloitte, Simon was a partner and head of corporate advisory and corporate restructuring, a business he established in 2005 to advise mid-market privately-owned and private-equity backed businesses across the UK regions.

Simon is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants and a Fellow of the Association of Business Recovery Professionals. He holds a degree in money, banking and finance from the University of Birmingham

Adam Akbar



Managing Director

Adam is the Founder and Managing Director of Bronzegate. He has nearly 20 years’ industry experience and has specialised in finance executive search since 1999. Before founding Bronzegate, Adam was a Board Managing Director at Pure Search—an international search firm—where he developed a new approach to finance search: a model which is used successfully at Bronzegate today.

An economics graduate, Adam began his career as a finance headhunter with global search firm, TMP Worldwide, in Sydney and London, before joining Alexander Mann’s finance search practice. Adam specialises in Board CFO appointments and developing finance leadership teams. He also heads Bronzegate’s Chairperson Network.

José Alberto Parejo

Director, Business Development

José Alberto brings his previous experience in finance, banking, investor relations and capital raising to his current role as Director in the Business Development department of Alantra Asset Management.

A member of Alantra since 2008, his responsibilities include heading the investor relations function for the PE funds as well as to support the business growth of PE and other Alantra Asset Management alternative products. Previously he worked as investor relations manager at Spanish Savings Bank Caixa Galicia, where he also had been analyst and trader, in corporate finance at PwC and in banking at Santander.

He holds a degree in Economics and a Master in Financial Markets and Finance, both from Madrid’s CEU.

David Barbour

FPE Capital


Managing Partner

David is joint Managing Partner and co-founder of FPE Capital. Having qualified as a lawyer (Ashursts) and worked in the media, telecoms and corporate advisory worlds before moving into private equity investing. His advisory career was entirely at the Fleming investment bank and successor firms, where his experience helping small technology and telecoms firms to raise equity built on his interest in growth company financing.

David focuses on the telecoms and financial services sectors and he also leads the firm’s investor relations and fundraising activities.

Paul Blant



Managing Director

Paul joined Finatal in 2011, where he has overall operational responsibility for the business, in addition to overseeing all UK consultants, driving our strategy for PE clients, and recruiting CFOs, FDs and senior finance resources for private equity-backed businesses across the UK.

He has developed relationships with and worked with the likes of Graphite, Living Bridge, August Equity and many others over his career.

Paul holds a degree in Economics from the University of Southampton and has over 16 years of experience in the recruitment sector.

Tom Boszko

Tom Boszko has been at Alchemy for more than a decade and has invested in over 20 situations during that time. Although he has a particular interest in platform transactions in the leisure sector, Tom covers a broad range of industries across Europe, as well as investment types spanning debt, equity & restructurings. Alchemy focus on non-mainstream situations which are typically complex, dynamic and cannot be accessed via auctions.

Tom has a degree from Cambridge in Natural Sciences and spent time in both strategy consultancy and industry prior to joining Alchemy. He mostly spends his weekends juggling a busy household of 3 small children.

Maria is a qualified accountant, tax and treasury adviser, has a first class degree in Chemistry, a PhD in Nanotechnology and is a member of the Chartered Institute of Taxation (CIoT) and the British Venture Capital Association Tax and ESG Committees.

Helena has a background as management consultant at McKinsey and with Arla Foods where she held several leadership positions, both strategic and business unit director roles, in Sweden and the UK. She also led the integration of sustainability into commercial strategy for Arla Foods in Sweden.

With her combined strategic and operational experience, Helena now leads the development of Via Summa, which is Summa’s common value creation framework with portfolio companies. The overall purpose of Via Summa is to enable Summa’s portfolio companies to capture their full potential by delivering increased returns for stakeholders, magnified SDG impact and future proofed companies.

Olof Faxander

Olof joined in January 2016. Olof is head of the Operational Team which provides operational support to portfolio companies. Olof has extensive experience in leadership roles in large industrial companies where he spent the first 20 years of his career. Olof is board member of several of NC’s portfolio companies. Prior to joining, his most recent positions were as CEO of two large public industrial groups, Sandvik (2011–2015) and SSAB (2006–2010). Olof has an MSc in Engineering from the Swedish Royal Institute of Technology and a B.A. Economics from the Stockholm University.

Nicol Fraser




Nicol graduated from the University of Edinburgh in 1988 and qualified as a chartered accountant with Tenon in 1991. Following qualification, he joined the corporate recovery team and subsequently qualified as an Insolvency Practitioner in 1996. He joined Bridgepoint in 1996, where he gained experience of buyouts throughout the UK.

Outside of work Nicol has a particular interest in sport (triathlon, rugby and skiing) and music. Nicol plays guitar in the Dunedin band.

Karsten Langer

Since 2006, Mr. Langer has been with The Riverside Company. Mr. Langer has focused on investment and portfolio management activities. Prior to Riverside, Mr. Langer was Managing Partner of an independent corporate finance firm, advising on acquisitions and divestitures across Europe. previously, he spent five years with GE Capital, in operating management and investment roles. Mr. Langer started his career with Danske Bank in Copenhagen. He holds a Masters in Management from ESCP Europe and a Bachelor’s degree from Copenhagen Business School. He speaks English, French, Danish, German, Portuguese and basic Dutch. For the year until June 2012, Mr. Langer served as chairman of InvestEurope. ​

Francesco Lodrini




Francesco is a Partner and is based in Milan. He joined Ambienta in 2011.

He has been involved in a number of transactions including IP Cleaning, Calucem, Safim, Tower Light and MBA Polymers.

Prior to this, Francesco spent three years with Barclays PE (now Equistone), a mid-market private equity firm, and four years in London at Goldman Sachs (M&A) and Monitor Group (consulting).

He graduated with a degree in Business Administration from Bocconi University (Milan) in 2003, attending part of the programme at Ivey Business School in Toronto.

Justin Maltz




Justin is a partner at Mobeus, leading portfolio management for the buyout business. He has over 20 years’ experience of supporting private, growing businesses and currently sits on the boards of Active Travel Group, Ludlow Wealth Management, Virgin Wines and Star Brands. Prior to Mobeus he spent 19 years investing for 3i and subsequently acted as independent chairman, director and/or advisor to a number of investor-backed entrepreneur-led companies.

James Markham

James joined Graphite Capital in 2002. Currently, he is on the board of three portfolio companies and works on others. He is responsible for the monitoring of investments and for implementing best practice across Graphite’s portfolio. He focuses on value creation projects and, where necessary, effecting change programmes. He plays a lead role in the development of and recruitment of portfolio company management teams. He maintains an advisory network to deploy as appropriate on operational and performance improvement initiatives.

Previously James spent four years at RSM Robson Rhodes, where he qualified as an ACA. He holds a degree in Politics from the University of York.

Before, he served as the CEO of Client and Market Services as well as Head of Operations for Marsh EMEA & Asia Pacific. Ian has over 20 years’ PE experience having completed investments in Europe and the US with particular focus on financial and business services; consumer & manufacturing.

Ian previously worked for JP Morgan in NYC and London focusing on leverage buyouts, technology investing and investment restructurings. Prior to this, Ian was a strategy consultant at Bain & Co working from Stockholm and Boston.

Geoff Tomlinson is LDC’s procurement and supply chain specialist with a record of delivering significant savings for businesses. He helps the management teams within LDC’s portfolio to identify, plan and implement procurement and supply chain strategies.

He joined LDC in 2017 and in the last 12 months, Geoff has led five carve-out projects across the LDC portfolio and helped individual portfolio companies save up to £500k in procurement costs and improve their supply chains.
