Tim is Operating Partner at Three Hills, working across their European portfolio’s talent and organisational requirements. He has held global Chief People Officer roles in a breadth of sectors including brand & talent management (Creative Artists Agency); fashion, sports & retail (Global Brands Group; Pentland; Diesel); health (Nelsons); technology (Dixons Carphone); and liquor & wine (Beam Suntory). During his consultancy career, Tim has worked on projects across construction & housing; eyewear; pharmaceutical; automotive; FMCG; food & hospitality; and professional services.

Tim is an experienced Operating Board member who devises and leads people strategy that fast-tracks and sustains global business growth. He is passionate about accelerating organisational performance by strengthening purpose; clarifying strategy; designing structure; aligning talent; and enhancing business culture. Tim leads on the full scope of people topics including organisational development, business design, talent & development, DEIB, remuneration, governance, measures & performance management, employee relations, culture and behaviours.

Tim has lived and worked in EMEA; the US; and Asia-Pacific. He studied executive coaching at the Hult Ashridge International Business School and is an alumnus of the University of York, Lancaster University and London Business School. He is a Chartered Fellow of the CIPD.

Tim judges for the CIPD Awards and HR Excellence Awards; and has mentored within the CIPD’s Aspiring HRD programme since 2015. He co-founded the Business Culture Awards & Community in 2016; and has been heard on ‘That HR Podcast’ since 2018. He was recognised by the readers of HR Magazine as the UK’s 4th most influential HR leader in 2022. He is an FA-qualified football coach and can be found on the touchline most Sunday mornings.
